How to Follow Live Football Scores on FawaNews: A Step-by-Step Guide

Following a live football match should not mean refreshing a page over and over. The FawaNews Live page keeps itself up to date, shows the current minute for every match in progress and tells you when a goal goes in. This guide walks through how to use it, step by step.

Step 1: Open the Live page

Select Live in the main menu (on a phone, open the menu icon first). The page lists every match currently in play in our top competitions, grouped by league so a Premier League game sits with other Premier League games and a Champions League tie sits with the rest of the European fixtures. If nothing is being played right now, you will see a friendly message, and you can head to today's fixtures to see what is coming up.

Step 2: Read the match cards

Each card shows the two teams, their badges and the score. The small pill at the top-left tells you the match status, and the same labels are used across the whole site:

• A red pulsing dot and a number, for example 67', means the match is in play and shows the current minute. Added time appears as 45+2'.
• HT means half-time.
• FT means the match has finished.
• A clock time means the match has not started yet and shows kick-off in your local time.

The team that is winning is shown in bold, which makes it easy to scan a long list quickly.

Step 3: Let the page refresh itself

You do not need to reload. The Live page checks for new data about every 15 seconds, and a small note above the list confirms that auto-refresh is running. When a score changes while the page is open, a "Goal!" pop-up appears near the top of the screen with the new scoreline, then disappears after a few seconds.

Step 4: Open the match page for the detail

Step 5: Save the games you care about

Tips for busy match days

• Keep the Live page open in its own browser tab so goal pop-ups can appear.
• Use the league grouping to jump straight to the competition you follow.
• If a card looks a little behind what you are watching, remember that data arrives from a provider and is cached briefly. It should catch up on the next refresh.
• If you ever see a "temporarily unavailable" message, wait a few seconds and reload.
